Taking a sprinkling of the same magic used in our other MusicBox stacks we now present MusicBox Store edition.
After the great reception of MusicBox we had been asked if we could make a playlist but, also allow for links back to your own Amazon or iTunes listed album pages. We took the opportunity to make a few changes along the way to make this all possible in this new Stack element that integrates a playlist, audio player and additional link buttons. However, the killer feature is that this is all controlled and managed from a simple Google Doc (spreadsheet) so you can make changes on the fly without a republish!
Perfect for displaying track samples whether you are a in a band, voice-artist or musician looking to showcase and promote and sell your audio.
No coding experience is required all you need to follow are these three easy steps that we cover in more detail with our User Guide.

Again like our previous stacks , you just add once only to your Stacks Page where you want the player to appear and , create a link(or links) to your MP3 file (our User guide has an example of this ) .
We then create the player for you for all your MP3 links! Simple, awesome and fast.
Perfect for
- Audio Store Pages
- Podcast playback
- showcasing your bands music
Remember your MP3 audio file can be anywhere , Dropbox public folder (fast and easy to setup), or even on your own web host . All that we require for playback is that your browser can access the file correctly where-ever it is hosted.

Having trouble getting a perfect setting in Final Cut Pro to play in iPad, iPhone and desktop for HTML 5 Video.
Don’t panic! One of our customers, Jeff from Node Productions, has been kind enough to produce a droplet to give you easy H.264 exports from Final Cut Pro.
These export settings have been tested in iPad, iPhone, Safari, and by the very nature of our RapidWeaver Video Stacks and Plugins if you omit webm /ogg video we automatically switch to Flash using the awesome FlowPlayer Flash Video player.
Want to learn more about this then check out the post on the RapidWeaver Forum where you can view a sample page of the video as well as getting your hands on the droplet.
Once again a big thanks to Jeff for putting this together. If you are looking for someone who specializes in Video and Audio in the Roseville, Sacramento area then look him up at Node Productions
Enjoy :D

Following on from my previous post on using Miro Video Converter to convert your vidoe files in a snap. There is a new update now available with export settings for iPad and the new WebM format.
Taking a sample movie I had in Screenflow, that was 290MB lossless (1280x720 resolution and 1min 43 in duration). This resulted in an iPad formatted mp4 that was 14MB in size and a WebM movie that was 3MB , yes that’s right 3MB.
I should point out that the quality of the WebM; movie was good maybe not as sharp as the H.264 but at 3Mb who’s complaining. However the audio track was a little bit thin and ‘tinny’ probably due to the 64k encoding preset rate for the Vorbis audio track. Miro is updated regularly so I expect to see an improvement in the audio bit rate for WebM .
To get your movies encoded easily for HTML5 Video without going near the command line , easily and cheaply, Miro Video Converter is worth a look.

As a special weekend blog post , and it sort of times in nicely with our recent HTML 5 media plugins for RapidWeaver, I have been using the Miro Converter an open-source video conversion application on the Mac. Yes, they also make that rather nice looking Miro Player too.
Currently in my video export toolbox, I use the Elgato Turbo HD really to remove any processing overhead on my MacBook , it is fast and is always in my laptop bag, and great at batch conversion for AppleTV and iPhone formats. However, more recently I have also started using ffmpeg2theora(a command line utility) to encode OGG Video (Theora) files for HTML 5 video playback in Firefox.
This has been developed as a one-stop drag video file and a few minutes later (or sooner) ,same video in a different format. I personally like this fact as the more options there are , the more chances someone is going to mess it up.
Conversion Export Settings and Target File Size
All resulting files were clean and crisp, Yes even the Theora file at full screen playback in Firefox 1280x720!
